This past summer I was fortunate to spend some time with Adrienne. As I was leaving she said in her cheerful way, See you soon Chris! I did not know then that this would be our last visit together. Hearing of her passing, I was devastated that I didn't get to say a proper goodbye. 

But now those parting words she said to me have taken on new meaning and seem perfectly fitting. Because I do see her in the countless memories I cherish of time spent together through the years. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I do see her in the beautiful entries written on these pages. She made the world a better place for her family, friends and community with her kindness, wisdom and humor. I do see her in the faces of her loved ones gathered in remembrance and celebration of her life. She touched many lives including mine and holds a very special place in my heart.    

Adrienne in so many ways I will continue to see you soon. I love you always,

We will always have fond memories of our children growing up with the Banas kids on Avery Place.  Though time and opportunity had us going our separate ways, we will always remember Adrienne as being very friendly and liked by everyone.  She worked hard all her life and was a great Mom to her children.    
Rest in peace dear neighbor and friend.

What a devastating loss this world has, but God got a beautiful angel.  Adrienne was a great person, excellent mom, and good friend to both my mother and I. When I think of her I see a brilliant woman with incredible wit and a zest for life.  I have so many wonderful memories and influences from her that have made me what I am today.  I'm grateful for all of the good times and laughs I shared with both she, Mike, and the Banas family throughout the years.  Godspeed Adrienne

There's not much I can say, that every person who crossed my grandmothers path doesn't already know. She always had a kind heart, and i will always cherish all of those early mornings, and late nights working at Millie's with her. It saddens me that the military pulled me away from her the last 8 years, but every chance I got to come home, she always made sure to see me. I'll continue making you proud grandma, I know you'll be watching over me. Love you always, your granddaughter, Nicole.

My mother called me a few days ago regarding the sad news of Adrienne's death.  I was unable to attend the service because I had to work late Friday night.  I have nothing but fond memories of Adrienne, Bob, Lisa, Bobby and, of course my friend and the best bowler on Avery Place--Michael.

Adrienne was a wonderful woman, I was so happy to get to know her when I sat with her at her son Michaels house taking care of his dog and I will never forget her kindness when she brought me a milkshake. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family.

You are truly the most wonderful spirit I have ever known.  You guided me my whole life with love and compassion.  I miss you so much sometimes I can't breath.  I know you raised me to be strong and independent.  You had me working since I was in 6th grade and instilled such a strong work ethic.  I will continue forward as you would have wanted. So saddened to hear of the passing of Adrienne.  Such a fun loving and kind person.  So thankful we were allowed the pleasure of having our paths cross and were able to experience the friendship of such a sweet lady.  As the first snowflakes fall I will be reminded of her since a lot of our memories revolved around activities with snow falling all around. Her presence will be felt and her spirit alive. Mike, Lisa and Bobby, just know in your hearts how much she loved each of you, you were the love of her life and she received much joy from being your Mom. I've been fortunate to see Adrienne's loving nature first-hand when visiting with her son Mike.  So compassionate and caring! She always opened her home and  made everyone feel so very special and welcomed-- and always put a smile on everyone's face.

So sorry for your loss.  I had the pleasure of knowing your Mother many years ago when I was a friend of Mike.  Three very important things stuck with me about your Mother: First, her smile and sense of humor; Second, the importance of her children and grandchildren; and Third, the open arms with which she welcomed me to her dinner table and into her house.  As you celebrate her life, please know she is being celebrated by many others as well.

With deepest sympathy to the Banas family during your time of grief.  God is for you a refuge and strength.  A help that is there to be found during difficult times.  May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead.

Mike, I'm so glad I had a chance to meet your mom. I will always remember the conversations I had with her about sports and other things. She was a very sweet sweet and compassionate soul. I'm very sorry for your loss.
