He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Konie of Casper Wyoming, his children August Konie Jr. (Kelly Konie) of Indiana, Shane Konie (Jeannine Konie) of Nevada. His stepchildren Jana Scott (Alec Scott) of Wyoming, Justin Wentz of Wyoming, Heather Wentz of North Dakota. His brothers Mike Konie (Donna Konie) of Hawaii, Gey Konie (Susan Konie) of Illinois. His grandchildren August Konie 3rd (Sabrina Konie) of Arkansas, Morgan Konie (Freddy) of Indian, Logan Konie of Nevada. His great grandchildren Emilia Konie of Arkansas, August Konie 4th of Arkansas. Numerous nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.
August was born in Berwyn Illinois to the late Thomas & Arline Konie. He spent most of his life here until the Air Force let him travel to multiple places. He worked a number of jobs a few are AT&T and The Hampton Inn Douglas Wyoming. He married Mary Lou Konie on December 10th 2005.
He loved his puppy Maggie and enjoyed spoiling her.
