Carol (Klaske) immigrated in 1955, from Eindhoven, the Netherlands, to Halifax, Nova Scotia to marry John (Jan Pieter) Mudde, who immigrated a year before her to begin his career as a chemist. They proceeded to have 7 children, living in the cities of Akron, Ohio; Grosse Ile, Michigan; Dearborn Heights, Michigan; and settling in Oak Lawn, Illinois, where their children could have a Christian education all the way through high school. After John passed away in 1995, Carol lived with daughter Renee for several years in Kalamazoo, MI then moved into assisted living for the remainder of her years. Carol will be remembered for her love for children (especially babies!), her love for her extended family in the Netherlands, singing in the church choir, knitting, and her mysterious green thumb when it came to gardening!

Carol’s family would like to thank the staff at Rose Arbor Hospice Care in Kalamazoo, MI, for their wonderful care for her in her last days. A time for friends to visit with Carol’s family as well as attend the memorial service will be held 10 a.m.-12, with a memorial service at 12 noon, on Friday, May 18 at Chapel Hill Gardens South, 11333 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453, Pastor Michael Kooy officiating.
