If you truly knew Chaunessie, you knew her greatest joy and deepest love was her son, Hashim Aldin, affectionately known as “Hash Brown.” He was the center of her world, the sparkle in her eye, and the love of her life. Everything she did was rooted in her devotion to being a loving and supportive mother, and her pride in him knew no bounds.
Chaunessie was a woman with a tender heart and a compassionate spirit. Known for her warm smile and gentle presence, she had an extraordinary way of making others feel seen and valued. Her kindness, humility, and quiet strength left a lasting imprint on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A Legacy of Professional Excellence
Chaunessie dedicated more than 26 years of faithful service to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), beginning her career there in 1999 as a Membership Coordinator. Over the years, she supported multiple departments and built a reputation for professionalism, consistency, and integrity.
For over a decade, she served the AOA Board of Trustees and House of Delegates, developing meaningful relationships with hundreds of physicians and medical students nationwide. In 2020, she was promoted to **Associate Vice President, Certifying Board Services**, where she led the largest team within the organization. She was respected as a leader, admired as a professional, and loved for the care she showed to everyone she worked with.
Her Faith and New Beginning in Christ
On the evening of October 7, 2025, Chaunessie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at Rehoboth Apostolic Church by Bishop Yolanda Hunt. She was filled with joy, peace, and excitement and joyfully shared her decision with her siblings. Her faith became a source of comfort, hope, and strength.
The Woman Behind the Work
Outside of her professional life, Chaunessie found joy in dancing, reading, crocheting, and in the community she built through line dancing. She was a devoted and faithful member of Line Dancing with Ton and sister company, Lines in Motion, where she formed meaningful friendships and participated in trips and competitions.
Line dancing brought Chaunessie happiness, confidence, and connection — and it was one of the many ways she loved to spend time with her sister Cherise.

Chaunessie is survived by her treasured son, Hashim Aldin; her siblings, Cynthia Baggett, Robert Baggett III, Cherise Baggett, Ryan Baggett, Cassandra Wilson, and Timothy Vincent; her brother-in-love, Shey Swinson; a host of loving cousins; her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles who all held a special place in her heart; and countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones.
