Chester was the beloved husband of Maryann, with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
He was a proud graduate of Reavis High School. Throughout his working years, he was employed by National T, Continental Can, and Rich Lee Bus Company.
One of Chester’s favorite pastimes was boating on Lake Michigan with his family and friends. He treasured those days spent on the water, surrounded by the people he loved. He also enjoyed watching old slides and movies with his family, reminiscing about special moments and creating new memories together. He was also a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan, faithfully cheering on his beloved Sox and enjoying many games throughout the years
He will be best remembered for the great stories he told. His stories, humor, and the memories he shared with those around him will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Maryann; his sons, Chester (Lori), Steve (Gerard), and Stoch; and his daughter, Sheila (Mark) Klinker.He was the loving grandfather of Abbie, Clinton (Esther), Zachary, Amanda (Lance), and Hannah; and the proud great-grandfather of Skylar, Kerrigan, Jaedyn, Li, and Abi.
His family will forever cherish the love, laughter, stories, and memories he gave them throughout his life.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Palos Bible Church, 12701 70th Ave., Palos Heights, IL 60463. An additional visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at Palos Heights Bible Church. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, 11333 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
Chester will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
