Dorothea H. McNally (nee Keller) of Oak Lawn, IL and Madeira Beach, FL passed away on July 24, 2016 following a brief illness and surrounded by her family. She was born on July 29, 1925 to Alfreida & Charles Keller in Chicago, IL. She was the beloved companion of Donald Kiner. Loving mother of James (Vassi Kyriazes), and Scott (Kathy) McNally. Adored grandmother of Thomas (Krista), Graham (Andrea), Robyn Czuba (Mike), Ryan (Nicole), Timothy, Sean (Alyssa), Colleen (John) Cannataro, John (Ashley Sic) Delehanty, Stephanie Minervino, and Christina Minervino (Brandon) LaBorde. Cherished great-grandmother of Anna, Evan, Scott, Eric, Ian, Elli, and Abby McNally, Riley & Joseph Czuba, Aiden Delehanty and Alexandra LaBorde. Dear Aunt to Norma (the late Robert) Hausherr, Charlene (Don) Udoni, Robert (Ruth) Burns, Ken (Judith) Burns, and the late Jeri (Mike) Kolodie. Dorothea was a former Treasurer of the Auxiliary to the Oak Lawn Elks Lodge and a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Oak Lawn, and Oakhurst United Methodist Church, Seminole, FL. For over 20 years she was a volunteer with the Christ Hospital’s Ladies Auxiliary in Oak Lawn. She was preceded in death by her husband James Thomas McNally, her sister Ruth (the late Bill) Burns, and Howard (the late Dorothy) Keller. During WWII she worked at the Stevens Hotel (currently the Hilton Chicago) Dorothea’s picture and a related article about the hotel’s “Evelyns”, which appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, currently hangs in the Hilton Hall of History. She truly was an original – a Hilton Original. She will be greatly missed.
