

Eleanor Mae Litto (nee Dehmer), passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the age of 102. Eleanor lived a long and active life. She enjoyed spending time with her large and ever growing family. Throughout her life, Eleanor participated in many clubs and activities. She played tennis, ping pong, and volleyball. She went swimming, skied, ice skated, rode a bike into her mid 90's, and loved to go on walks. Eleanor played the piano, guitar, and sang. She joined a chorus that sang together for over 50 years! She also joined a Camera club, Garden Club, and a Writing club. Her Christian faith was evident in her warmth, kindness, strength, and playful spirit.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Christ Anton Litto, for 58 years. Together, they raised five children: Christine Eul, the late Victoria Pausz, Perry (Hilda) Litto, Darlene (Leroy) Rath, and Connie (Michael) Borkowski.
Eleanor was the loving grandmother of James (Kim) Holtrop, Jeremy (Amy) Holtrop, Tammy Pausz, Andrea (Steve); the late Christopher Pausz, David Pausz and Erick (Kayla) Pausz; Sheri (Cory) Wheatley; the late Diane O’Neal, Anton Litto and Stephen (Carrie) Litto, Joy (David) Jetter, the late Joshua Rath, James Rath, Joel (Caitlin) Rath, Julia (Jose) Velazquez, Lisa Borkowski, Lauren (Rob DuBois) Borkowski, Mark Borkowski, and Matthew (Theresa Kirkpatrick) Borkowski.
Eleanor was also she delighted to have thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy in her later years. Her legacy of love, resilience, resourcefulness, and creativity will continue through the many lives she inspired.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South
