Ernest Pancer

Ernest George “Ernie” Pancer, age 77, left this world suddenly on Friday, 8 October 2021 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ernie was born in Chicago, Illinois, having resided on the city’s south side for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Eleanor, and brother Dennis.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife Dorothy “Dottie” and sons Eric (Sarah); David (Melissa) with children Ethan and Aaron; and Christopher (Jessica) with children Catalina, Leila and Wesley. Ernie is also survived by his brother Alan, sister-in-law Barbara Kosarko, niece Lisa (Jeff) Bauc, great-niece Gabriella DiFiore, and many other family and friends.

Ernie was a proud member of the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 1866, a lifelong drummer and music lover, and an avid fan of the Chicago Bears; but more than anything he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on 6 November 2021 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Chapel Hill Garden South Funeral Home (address: 11333 South Central Avenue Oak Lawn, IL 60453, telephone: 708-636-1200) to honor Ernie.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Ernie’s name to the American Cancer Society
