Frances M. Higgins

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tricia Murphy.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Higgins; her sons, Stephen Higgins and Glenn Higgins; her brothers, Ernest Olson and Robert Olson; and her sister, Nancy Rodgers.

Frances was born in Chicago, Illinois. She later lived in Calumet City, Illinois, with her husband and two sons. When her daughter Tricia was born, the family moved to Mokena, Illinois, where they resided for more than twenty-five years. Frances and Dennis retired to Three Oaks, Michigan and in 2021, Frances moved to Florida to be closer to her daughter.

A homemaker for most of her life, Frances enjoyed playing cards, traveling with family and friends, shopping, and keeping her home spotless. In her younger years, she was an active member of the Starliters Bowling League.

Frances will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, Illinois. A chapel service will begin at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Jamie Deuser officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery. For more information, please call 708-636-1200.
