James C. Brennan passed peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 57; born January 20, 1969, in Oak Lawn, James lived in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
Jim was the beloved husband of Nancy, with whom he shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Christopher and Jessica Rubin (nee Brennan), grandfather to Vera, and a loving brother to Eveleen Autrey (nee Brennan) and Sherry Brennan. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Margaret Brennan, and his brother, John Brennan.
Jim served as Executive Director of Client Services at Clearwater Analytics, where he was respected for his professionalism and leadership.
Outside of work, Jim found great joy in preparing incredible smoked meats and crafting exceptional cocktails for family and friends. He will be remembered for his meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of his life, his remarkable generosity, and his fierce loyalty and devotion to those he loved. His kindness, strength, and protective nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, US, on July 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Linus Catholic Parish, 10400 Lawler Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, US, on July 31, 2026, at 9:30 am. A Committal Service follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803, US, on July 31, 2026.
