My sincere condolences to all in your family on loosing this wonderful human being. James was a huge fan of Savatage and his dedication/support he showed to our tribute band from 2009-2012 was a blessing. He was thrilled that someone was representing this music. After 9 years we had finally reunited the group and I was so excited to tell him he would finally be able to see us perform again in 2021. We will play loud and proud for you dear sir!! Until we meet again Rest In Power Metal Warrior!! We will miss you. John, Albert, Rick, Mike, Johnny, & Brent of Ghost In the Ruins (Chicago's Savatage Tribute)

I did not know James but wanted to send my love and prayers to Mary, whom I know through the Oak Lawn Chamber. I also send prayers to all family and friends of James.

I knew James for a good 15 years. We bonded over our love of hard rock and heavy metal. I would see him at shows all the time, and I loved catching up with him whenever we met up. He was the true definition of "superfan", be it with music or football. Though he was soft-spoken, he was one of the most passionate and loyal guys I knew. His support of my own endeavors as a singer will stay with me forever. My deepest condolences go out to his mother, his sisters, and Mary.
