

James M. Pultz, 93, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee, long time resident of Chicago, Illinois. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 10, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Frances L. Pultz (nee Miller). James leaves to cherish his memory, his children Michael, Katherine, Deborah (Charles) Gonsowski, and Patricia. Cherished Papa of Thomas (Gillian) and Matthew (Brielle). Adored Great Papa of Nathan, Theodore, Carter, Aubrey and Chelsea. He will be missed dearly by all of his nieces, nephews and family.
James was a proud Korean War veteran, wearing his memories of service like a badge of honor. He found immense joy in watching baseball, cheering passionately for his beloved Chicago teams, and reminiscing about the glorious moments of the past. On sunny weekends, he could often be found playing horseshoes and bean bag toss in the yard, showcasing his skills with a playful competitive spirit that brought laughter to family gatherings. As the best Papa anyone could ask for, he devoted countless hours to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, engaging them in stories from his youth and teaching them games he cherished. Whether he was sharing a hearty laugh or offering sage advice, James embodied the spirit of family and camaraderie, leaving a legacy of love that would be cherished for generations to come.
