

James Terry Warren passed peacefully on February 14 at the age of 78. Beloved son of the late Sidney and Ruth Warren, born November 10, 1943. Graduated Lindblom and followed in his father’s footsteps working as a pipe fitter. He served in the Army Reserve from 1967-1972. Terry Co-owned O’Tooles bar near Wrigley Field and attended Cub’s games with nephew Dan and his family. Terry embraced the Chicago lifestyle and frequented the mom & pop restaurants and jazz clubs around the city. He loved the casual beach scene and lived in Maui for a short time and later would vacation in Ft. Lauderdale. Passing on Valentine’s Day was fitting as Terry loved meeting people who were naturally drawn to his kind heart and easy-going nature. He lovingly cared for his mother, Ruth, during her last days. Brother of predeceased sister Jan (Rich) Plattner. He will be dearly missed by his nephew Dan (Mistee) Plattner and nieces Karen (Robert) Purdy, Jill Plattner, Wendi (Scott) Reid and Bonnie Plattner along with many great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Friday, June 17 at 10am at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home and Cemetery, 11333 S. Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
