Janice Janiszewski

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Janiszewski; parents, John and Rose Marie Woods; and son-in-law, Michael Kumke.

She is survived by her three children, son Christopher (Colette) De Vivo and daughters Cathy Kumke and Cynthia (Jim) Szoldatits; grandchildren Allison Kumke, Benjamin Kumke, Clarisse Rose, and Jonathon Rose, and cousins.

A graduate of Kelly High School, Janice worked various jobs, retiring from Stickney Township after many years of service.

Janice found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a woman of faith who enjoyed attending church, reading, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren. Her kindness and warmth will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held for Janice on Monday July 6, 2026, from 4PM-8PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. An additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4660 W 94th St, Oak Lawn, IL from 9AM a service will begin at 10AM. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, 11333 S. Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
