

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph, and her beloved daughter, Jenny. Their memories remained forever close to her heart.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, JoAnn dedicated many years of service as a Unit Secretary at South Suburban Hospital, where she was known for her professionalism, and caring spirit. She was also a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene, where her faith served as a guiding force throughout her life.
Upon her retirement in 1999, Jo Ann and her husband moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she enjoyed a peaceful retirement.
Jo Ann is survived by her daughters, Linda (Lavelle), Washington, Joey (Jim) Petersen, and Terry Copack. She was a cherished grandmother to 12 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will deeply miss her presence and treasure the memories they shared with her.
Jo Ann will be remembered for her unwavering faith, devotion to her family, kind heart, and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, US, on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with burial to follow.
