Dear Pat and family,

My most sincere sympathies on the loss of your beloved. I knew him through Pat and our times at the USO at Midway Airport to support our service people. I was always inspired by his live and enthusiasm. What a great man!

I send you comfort and kindness.

Always loved getting to talk to Colonel Buckley when I called his home. Pat was usually gone and he would share some of his Chicago P.D. Stories with me. I loved his baseball bat cane. Going to miss you. Sympathies to you Pat. You took such great care with him.

I will always remember John in his gorgeous red military jacket at our Chicago Chapter DAR 125th Anniversary sitting next to his beloved wife Pat ... all spiffy. Rest in Peace John. You've earned your rest.
