When John learned that I am an amateur accordionist, he told me of one of his shipboard exploits. He had a small accordion and the only thing he knew how to play was “Mary had a little lamb”. His chief for some reason grew tired of the tune and told him “Prkut, one more note out of that thing and you and the accordion are going over the side!” Carol Harrison and I will treasure John’s memory always and are forever thankful for the few years he entered our lives. During the years I was the child care provider for your grandchildren Joey and Mickey, you welcomed me to your home and shared stories while the kids and I swam in the pool. I remember you always had a smile on your face and seemed to enjoy life every day. I am so blessed to have known you and am sending prayers for your family who will miss you dearly. God Speed. Peace be with you.
