Joseph L. Stefanko, age 83, passed peacefully from this life the morning of Friday January 31st. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Beloved husband of Marilyn Stefanko (nee Longnecker) for a loving 49 years. Devoted father of Joseph (Melissa) Stefanko. Proud grandfather of Caitlin, Thomas, Isla and Henry. Dear brother of Barbara (the late Robert) Pollak, Mary Jo (the late George) Hemmeter, the late Margaret Turner and John Stefanko. Brother in law of Lloyd (Sherrie) Longnecker. Fond uncle of Mary Ellen (Michael) Curtis, Michael (Michelle) Longnecker, and Edward (Jamie) Longnecker. Great uncle of many. Joseph was born in Chicago, Il and was a longtime resident of the Beverly community.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 4:00 PM at First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn, 10000 S. Central Ave. Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Please send all floral tributes directly to the church.
