Kenneth Stoffregen, 71, was born in Chicago to Lawrence and Agnes (Mihalovich) Stoffregen. He met his soulmate, Deb, just before he joined the Air Force. Whisking her away to Germany, they started their adventurous life together. When they returned, he followed his passion and became a shop and graphic arts teacher. He was the first to volunteer in every organization he joined from the Knights of Columbus to various volksmarch and motorcycle clubs, spending countless hours fundraising to support local charities. He owned his own print shop serving Oak Lawn businesses for over 15 years. But teaching was his calling, and he returned to the field, earning a M.A. in Education, eventually retiring after almost 20 years. Those who knew Ken, would speak first about his big heart and generous spirit, and second about his goofy jokes and creativity, especially when building things out of PVC pipe. His commanding presence and kindness will be missed and remembered.
Beloved husband of Deborah Stoffregen; devoted father of Pamela (Bryan) Gay, and loving Papa to Natalie; dear brother to Gale Stoffregen, Ron Stoffregen, Tim (Mary Beth) Stoffregen, Jim (Melanie) Stoffregen, MaryBeth (Daniel) Murphy, and the late Alane Stoffregen; cherished uncle and cousin; and loyal friend to many.
