Rev Larry always held a very special place in my heart. I used to take care of him for a couple years at the clinic in Oak Lawn before I moved to Georgia. He was so special to me. He made the best of everything when he had his treatments with us. I grew so close with him that I had him service our wedding ceremony. Just a couple years later I moved and I continued to think of him often. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing and truly wish I could be there to say my goodbye. I love you Rev and may you rest in peace. I hope you find my Daddy in heaven and reminisce of our wedding night and happier times. God bless your family during this time.

We always have counted the time we shared with Pastor Hindmand and his family as some of the best. I often recall the many late night ping-pong games in our basement in Roxana....those were good times. He was a wonderful friend and pastor and will be missed.

Hearing of Bro. Hindmand's passing today brought back many fond memories. He and Martha spent a lot of time with my husband David and me back in the 70s when he pastored Roxana Church of the Nazarene in Roxana, Illinois. He was a kind and good man. I must admit that he is my favorite pastor and teacher throughout the years. My sincere sympathies to Martha and the girls.

Larry and I had many good times growing up and even though I haven't seen in many years, I have kept up with him through Waynetta. We know he is in a much better place with no more suffering. May God be with the family through the grieving process. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Martha and the kids.

We fondly remember Pastor Larry as a member of our Sunday School class, once he was no longer the senior pastor of a church. Always, he could be counted on not only with a learned comment, but a funny one as well. He was an easy man to be around, and always added a sense of enjoying life no matter his circumstances. He loved Martha and his children and made clear how blessed he was to have his family. He was so proud of his grandchildren, and was quick to share their latest achievements! We will miss Larry!
