I have known Lenora for over 80 years as a school mate and friend. She was a beautiful, friendly and considerate person. When we had our Parker High School alumni meetings more times than not she would have a bag of her baked goods to give to her classmates to take home. One of the favorites she made and was very popular was her famous whiskey cake. I will miss her.

Grandma,

It would be impossible for me to convey to anyone how much we will miss you. The joy and happiness you brought to our lives each and every time we were with you could only be brought by you.  

I will never forget you babysitting us and playing pokeno and the penny game.  I will never forget you reading me a bedtime story and letting me watch woody the woodpecker. 

Your smile, touch, generosity, and selfless actions were one of a kind.  You will be missed and never forgotten, I now can talk to you anytime I want and will every night. We now have another amazing angel watching over us. We will miss you, love and Gods richest blessings always.

Grandma,

I am so happy you have been reunited with Grandpa. I would also say that I am excited for you to be with God in his kingdom, but I don't think you've ever been far from Him at all. He was truly with you every day -- which you made clear by bringing each of us a little closer to Him every time we were in your presence. 

You showed your grandchildren immeasurable love and took every opportunity to spend time with us, whether we were at your condo playing the penny game, eating ice cream while watching movies or enjoying stories from our favorite books. As we got older, our time together never grew any less special -- it was always fun to tease you about the wild parties and secret poker games I was sure you were hosting. I could write about your baking (especially the toffee squares!) too, but that's a sure way to find out if there's a character limit on this submission.

Even beyond your family, your love and kindness knew no bounds; you considered all whom you met a friend to be cherished, whether they were your neighbor at the condo, a customer at Osco or one of your partners in crime at the nursing home.

I miss you already, but I know you are never far.

I was so sorry to see you go, but at the same time so happy for you to be in eternal happiness, and to finally shed all the physical limitations and pains of this earthly life of which you never complained. I loved your smile, and can't even imagine how big it is now that you have reached the pearly gates and have been reunited with Don. Please continue to watch over us, and help us focus on what is really important in life, and of which you gently reminded us in every card or note you signed. Thanks you for taking me in as a "son", and trusting me to take care of your daughter, Linda. I will miss all the extras you did for me, my family, and everyone else who was lucky enough to have known you.
