

Margaret L. Wilson, lovingly known as Peggy or "Giggles," passed away on July 12, 2026, in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 70. Born on June 4, 1956, also in Chicago, Peggy spent her life deeply rooted in the city she loved.
Peggy dedicated over three decades of her life to nurturing young minds as a teacher's aide at Sawyer School. Her commitment to education and her role in shaping the lives of countless students left an indelible mark on her community.
A devoted mother, Peggy is survived by her two sons, William P. Wilson and Michael A. Wilson. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Jill Wilson. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Peggy had a vibrant personality that shone through in all aspects of her life. She was one of the biggest Chicago Bears fans and could often be found cheering passionately for her team. Her love for rock music was equally enduring; it accompanied her through life’s moments and even into restful sleep.
Margaret "Peggy" Wilson will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and zest for life. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, US, on July 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
