Michael P. Castro, 81, passed away on the 27th of October 2026. Beloved husband of Herminia for a loving 53 years, devoted father of Sharon (Chester) and Celeste and proud "Lolo Mike" of Daniel. Loving son of the late Alberto and Ernecilla, Michael will be greatly missed by his many close friends and extended relatives.
Michael was born in the Philippines and came to the United States in 2001. He loved watching and playing basketball, enjoying a sweet treat or two, and likes singing. Although Michael was very quiet in his ways, his love for his family and friends was very loud, leading him to great acts of generosity. His family will always remember the great love he had for them and that he was an amazing provider, and a truly loving husband and father.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, on October 31, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Chapel Service at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow directly at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL.
