Michael Wilson

August 9, 1957September 13, 2020

Michael E. Wilson of Tinley Park, IL passed away suddenly Sunday September 13, 2020. Devoted Husband and partner of 26 years to Pamela S. Wilson (nee Barton). Dear Brother to Mary Ann (Robert) Hennessy and Daniel (Sue) Wilson. Cherished Brother-in-law of Sandra (Walter) Harvey and Jamie (Justin) Skripac. Devoted Uncle to Robert M. (Theresa) Hennessy, Colleen (John) Lydon, Megan (Paul) Kavanaugh, Lauren Mahl, Dan Wilson, Nicholas Harvey, Philip Harvey, Sydney Skripac, and Cashton Skripac. Great friend to many.

Michael was a proud retired member of the Fire Protection Local 281. In his free time you could find Michael on nice spring and summer days out riding his Harley, gardening, and making trips to Menards and Home Depot for his many home improvement projects. But, come winter Michael certainly enjoyed being a snow bird and spending time in St. Peterburgs, FL.

He will be missed, but not forgotten.

In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Chapel Hill Garden South Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at services. Just so you know, Sue, Artie and me stopped at White Castle and ordered Jalapeño Cheese Burgers to have lunch with you! After being with Mary Ann and Brother Bob, we stopped at our Angel Aunt Rose to talk how humble you are with saving a Great Christian Church with your Fire Suppression Union Brothers. As I told you before, You are my hero bro, love you! Your true friends were there for you!!!! I met them and I love them, and we will never forget them💪👍👍

I can hear your cute laugh. You always accomplished a good time wherever you were. I’m glad you had many years of the wind in your face on your Harley, and also some retirement years. You took beautiful pride in Pam and your home.

Mike was an awesome neighbor and friend! Worked with him on our townhouse association board in Tinley. He always asked how’s your family and daughter doing? Really gonna miss you Mike, I’m gonna miss that sound of you starting up that Harley!! Prayers for your family and friends during this time.

To the entire family of Mickey,

Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. We hope you feel surrounded by much love and we are sharing in your sorrow.

The St. James Place family will miss Mickey. He was a great friend to many over the years. His smile, contagious laugh and many stories he would tell will always be remembered. We will miss him on Sundays' watching football and having pizza with the gang.

May Mickey rest in peace and know that so many will always have a special place in their hearts for him.
