Nancy, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished family member, was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 29, 1942, and passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those who meant the most to her.
Nancy was a dedicated business owner of Filco Heating and Cooling, where she took pride in her work and the life she built for her family. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, and she found happiness in the simple things that made life special.
Nancy had a creative heart and loved crocheting beautiful blankets for her grandchildren, creating treasured keepsakes that will forever wrap them in her love. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, and playing games, especially Rummy. She was also known for her family-favorite pasta sauce, a special recipe that brought everyone together around the table and created memories that will be forever cherished.
Nancy's love was woven into everything she did, from the blankets she lovingly made to the meals she prepared and the time she spent with those she held dear. Her warmth and devotion to her family will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the traditions she created, the lessons she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her children: Joseph Filicette (Jeff Hancock), Mark Filicette (Mary), James Filicette (Teresa), Lynda Marchese, and Robert Filicette; and her grandchildren: Christopher, Matthew (Julia Coop), Jamie, Taylor, and Jordan. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will continue to bring comfort and joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph; her cherished son, Thomas; her parents, John and Theresa; her two sisters, Marlene and Shirley; her brother, James; and her son-in-law, Jon Marchese.
Though Nancy's passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her spirit will live on through her family, the traditions she cherished, and the countless memories made together. She will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
A visitation will be held for Nancy on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 8:30am-10:30am at Chapel Hill Gardens Funeral Home 11333 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
