Nicholas "Bill" W. Hewitt, age 97, of Oak Lawn, Illinois passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Patrica L.; loving father of Nick (former spouse Donna), Ron (former spouse Debra) and Rick (former spouse Karen); cherished grandfather of Nick (Michelle), Ron (Rebecca), Jesse (Pocos), Shawn (Danielle), Chad (Crystal), Heather (Jack) Edgar, Cole, Heidi (Clayton) Ahlden, Craig, Jill (Ryan) and Ian (Theo) Hewitt; proud great-grandfather of Cody, Hannah, Zachary, Emma, Noemi, Lucas, Summer, Raina, Caylan, Rose and Varrel; fond son of the late Albert and Caroline nee Englehardt; dear brother of Peggy (late Denny) Price, and the late Chuck (Virginia), Robert (Irene), Bud, Dick (Florence), Edith (Buck) O'Toole, Loretta (Hubert) Bowlin, Pearl (Joe) Hummel, Patsy (George) Ultsch, Shirley (Steve) Lombardi, and Eugene Hewitt; loving uncle to Lisa and many nieces and nephews. Also was Honarary "papa" to the Gower family.

Mr. Hewitt was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran and Life long member of Oak Lawn V.F.W. Post 5220.

A visitation for NICHOLAS will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Funeral Services Saturday at 10:00 AM Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
