Owen Francis, U.S. Army Veteran, age 88, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Beloved Husband of Joy, nee Mattelli, for a loving 64 years. Devoted Father of Jeffrey (Christine Nichols) and Tracey (William) Conti. Proud Grandfather of Samantha Peloza, Nicholas, and Makayla. Dear Son of the late Bruno and Mary, nee Gecan. Fond Brother of Marvin (Christine). Friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
Owen was a proud contractor and owner of Bruno Francis Plumbing. Owen will be remembered for being a hardworking man who was totally devoted to his wife. He loved to travel, enjoy good food and wine, and study World War II History.
A Visitation for Owen will take place Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave. Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Chapel Service to follow directly at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
