Ralph O. Kunst
July 3, 1951 – September 8, 2020
Ralph O. Kunst
Born July 3, 1951. At rest September 8, 2020
Ralph was born in Chicago, the son of the late Walter and Emily Kunst.
He is the Cherished Brother of Wayne (Barbara) Kunst and Gail (Craig) Tabor. The Greatest Uncle to Anna (Chris) Shivers; Olivia, Chloe (fiancé Aaron), and Corinna Tabor. Great Uncle to Henry and Callen Shivers.
Ralph worked for many years in the printing plate business and was an avid golfer. He loved to recall raising his hat after his celebrated birdie on the 18th hole at St. Andrew’s golf course in Scotland. He was an animal magnet, quickly becoming the favorite human of any pet in the family.
Ralph was an active volunteer with AA, serving as meeting chair, speaker, and mentor to many. He was an inspiration in showing grace, love, and the gift of presence.
We will miss his sarcastic sense of humor and his always present love for his family.
Private visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 18 and a Celebration of Life will follow. Interment to take place at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Because we can’t all celebrate Ralph’s life together at this time, please leave a message or share a fond story or memory for the family.
