Robert was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 8, 1930 to the late Robert and Lenora Herrmann.
Robert is the loving husband to the late Nancy, devoted father to Jeff (Annie) Herrmann, Cindy, and Johnny Herrmann; cherished grandfather to Matthew and Seth Herrmann.
Robert honorably served in the United States Air Force, serving for the Berlin Air Lift and during the Korean Conflict. Avid member of the AARL Ham Radio Club. He was also a member of the Elks and American Legion.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home (11300 S. Central Ave; Oak Lawn, IL 60453). He will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
