

Ron grew up in Blue Island and graduated from Eisenhower High School, where he formed many lasting friendships. He went on to spend many years working as a truck driver, a career he was proud of. During his time with NMMC Medical Mobile Transport and as a Union Steward for Teamsters, ConGlobal D123, CSX Transport, and was owner of Freight Transport he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Ron loved fishing and especially enjoyed traveling with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever. He will best be remembered for his big personality, his warmth, and the laughter he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his sons, Ron Jr., Rick, Adam, and Steven; his grandchildren; Lauren, Kristin, Zack, Dylan, Mason, Arielle, Rick Jr., Ryan, Randy, Colette, and Charlie ; his great-grandchildren, Scout and Anya; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron’s legacy of love and hard work will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, US, on April 9, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, a Chapel Service will begin at 7:00 pm.
