We so enjoyed having Mr. Wirkus with us at RBC camp last year. He was a man who loved the Lord, and His joy showed in all he did.

I have great memories of when my family Robert Holm and all of us would bring the boats to the canal and we would take the boats to Lake Michigan.  And the many times you would visit us at Three Mile Lake.  The times we would swim to the point.

Love and condolences to you and your family!  May the Lord wrap you in His arms with enduring love and peace.  I am so glad I got to meet Russ this summer at RBC camp.  He was warm and friendly and definitely an asset to camp!  Much love to you all --

Howard & I send our deepest sympathy and prayers for you today.  Your father was such a dear father and dear friend and we will miss him so very much.  I can just picture him enjoying Jesus and heaven and all the friends and family already there!  We have so many many memories of your dad and his many ways he encouraged and blessed and shared with our family all the good things God had given him.  His encouragement came on hot evenings inviting our family to come cool off in the pool, or sharing the cottage & boat, riding in the convertible and often just being there.  I slipped over to their cottage to find comfort when I was helping with Gene' and found a haven there with open hearts.  We so wish we could be there and will always be thankful for the mark he made on our lives and my parent's ministry.  Our prayers will be with you today...I wish we could be there in person. Russ was probably one of the most compassionate men I have ever known. On the Mother's Day after I lost my baby, he gave me flowers... and he has been a flower in my life ever since. Christmas at the Horne's house won't be quite the same. God bless you, my friend... I know you are rejoicing in heaven with Jesus & Sandy.

Russ was such a wonderful guy! The world is a bit dimmer without him in it. See you on the other side.

I have had Bud in my life memories for a long long time. we meet in 2nd grade.
We started getting into trouble from the start. As we got older our (fun) just expanded. I think I could write a book about bud. He was one of my best friends growing up and we remained friends all through the years. In the last 15 years we lived in Florida, so we did not have very much interaction. but I thought of him often. I always felt he would do anything to help me, and many time he did.
I miss him already, but I know he is waiting for me just around the bend. The tent will be pitched the coffee will be on, and we will carry on together again.
