Daddy has wanted to be with you since you passed and on 7/3 at 12:27 pm he took his last breath.  I bet you knew he was coming and was waiting for him with open arms.   While I’m happy he is with you & he is no longer in pain, I miss him & you so much.  It was my pleasure to move in to your house & take care of him these past 14 months.  I knew it was going to be hard to watch him go through everything Dementia did to him but I wanted to be there for him 24/7 to try to make him have some laughter & happiness as well as give him comfort.  I would do it all over again because I love/loved him with all my heart, just as I love you.  We thought since dad passed on the 3rd so he could watch the 4th of July fireworks with you, we would lay him to rest next to you, on the 10th anniversary of your passing.  We found that romantic, like the movie The Notebook.  I told dad to let you know I love & miss you & give you a kiss from me.  Please tell him it was my greatest honor to care for him these past several years, first at my apartment then at your home when he needed me.  Anything I did for him and you is no where near everything you both did for me.  I love you mama & miss you as much today as 10 years ago.  I can’t wait until I get to be with you both again someday.

Been a few weeks since I last signed your guestbook.  And nothing has changed, I still miss you tons and still wish this was just a bad dream.  I swear that I've heard your voice calling my name in the house.  I even looked downstairs from the kitchen the other day because I swear I heard you.  I just want to hear your voice and give you a big hug and tell you I love you just so I can hear you say "I'm the mom and I love you more!" Hi Mom,

So last Monday was 6 months since you passed away.  And whoever said it would get easier is a big fat liar.  It hurts worse today than it did back then.  I miss you so much mom!!!  And so far I've been lucky enough to come and see you every week since you've passed away.  Last week twice (even though on Monday I fell flat on my butt on the ice, which you probably laughed at) and this week I'll be able to come on Thursday again.  

I know you saw me last night fall backwards in my new recliner chair and I think you pushed me.  I was laying nice and comfortable and next thing I know, I'm laying on the floor upside down and dad laughed at me.  I still think you pushed me :) and you probably laughed right along with dad.  Good thing I have a hard head and it didn't hurt too bad when it smacked against the wall.  Ben was wondering what the heck happened too, he was looking at me like "what the heck are you doing upside down daddy?"  

Anyway, I have to get back to work.  Not that I want to, but if I want to get paid, I have to.   Love and miss you tons mom.  And one day I promise to finish the song I wrote for you.  The lyrics are done, just need to work up to pick up my guitar and write the music to it.  I'm just not sure I can finish it without crying.

Well we a half way into a new month of a new year. The holidays came and went and your family was all together the way you would want us to be. I know you were watching us and were with us.

2015 is finally over tonight.  Happy New Year 2016.  A new year I should be looking forward too but I can't.  It's just a new year that I still won't get to see or talk to you.  It is mine & Tom's 12 year anniversary today & 5 years ago today we got engaged.  I can hear you now, when are you gonna get married.  I don't know.  I still can't picture me getting married or making plans without you here helping me.  All I want to do is stay home with Tom & my cats & forget about my job & doing anything other than visiting you & being with our family.  Doctor said I can start out slowly but can go back to working out.  Hopefully if I do that, I'll start to feel somewhat normal again.  I know you want me to be happy & not die with you so my resolution for the new year is to try my best. It's really hard cause everyday I want to talk to you and see you.  I need to make this huge adjustment & learn to be happy without you here.  Right now, I just can't see how to do that but I'll figure it out.  I promise you I will try.  I'll never forget you cause you are tucked safely in my heart but I must get out of this funk & live.  I'll make you proud of me!!!  I hope you have a Happy New Year in heaven. Tomorrow will be my first birthday without my sweet, beautiful mama.  I would rather just sleep the whole day away.  No longer am I gonna get my special call from you at 11:05.  I know others are going to try to call me then to cheer me up but it will only make things worse knowing the person on the other end of the line is not you. Every time I cry at home missing you, instinctively, Little Shirley comes over on my lap & snuggles with me.  I'm guessing it is you trying to let me know you will always be with us.

Hi Mom,

Happy belated birthday I know you had a great time with everyone up in heaven with you. I love and miss you everyday but I know you would want us to live our lives just like we did when you were with us. 
I can't believe that Sami will be completing her first  semester of college today. She is doing great. It's been 4 months since I have seen her and I can't wait to do that.  We talk all the time but not see her is strange. Mark and James are doing great too. Work is work so nothing different on that. I talk to you again next week.

Tomorrow is your first Birthday in heaven.  It was 5 months yesterday that you've been gone & I miss you more & more every day.  Those people that say it gets easier with time are liars, cause it will never get easier.  I wish everyday I could see you again & hear your voice.  I miss coming to your house and watching tv with you or laughing at what silliness you & Joe can come up with again.  I even miss the silly bickering you & dad or Joe & dad would have.  Poor dad always got ganged up on by you & Joe.  Though Joe & dad came up with some shenanigans together but that was on me, like the hard boiled egg incident.  You were on my side that day & yelled at them good for me.  So many memories of you I remember & will keep in my heart.  We are all getting together tomorrow to celebrate your birthday at one of your favorite restaurants.  I'm sure we will share some of those memories as telling these stories makes us smile thinking of you.  You created a wonderful family.  We all love you & miss you!!!!  You are forever in our hearts.  One day we will all be together again.

Hi mama.  It's been awhile since I wrote but not a day goes by that I don't think of you & wish you were here.  I did what you told me & got that surgery I've been putting off but I'm sure you know that.  I'm sure you were there with me holding my hand.  I'm not looking forward to the holidays. Hi Shirley!

Four months have passed since you left me but the hurt still lingers. It's a shame that you don't realize how much a person means to you until they're not there anymore.  I only hope that I made you happy and your life easier. They say that time heals all but I now know that's not true. October was bad when our 48th Anniversary came and now November is the same when you weren't here for my 77th birthday. I'm not looking forward to the holidays but the kids and grandkids will help me through them. You did a great job raising them. Honey, I miss you so much. You were my rock, my lover and my best friend. I will never forget you. One of these days we will be together again. The good times were many for you and I. That's all I have going for me now but I will make it until we're together again. I Love You very much, but I know you're not hurting anymore. Miss You.

Hi Mom!

Well yesterday was 4 months since you passed away.  It doesn't stop hurting or get any easier.  I honestly keep hearing your voice calling me from downstairs and even Ben looks in that direction.  I know you're always with us all.  But I want to be able to see you.  I am going to come visit you again today, rain or cold, I don't care, I'll be there.  Love you always mom and miss you tons!!!!

Her hands held me gently from the day I took my first breath.
Her hands helped to guide me as I took my first step.
Her hands held me close when the tears would start to fall.
Her hands were quick to show me that she would take care of it all.

Her hands were there to brush my hair, or straighten a wayward bow.
Her hands were often there to comfort the hurts that didn't always show.
Her hands helped hold the stars in place, and encouraged me to reach.
Her hands would clap and cheer and praise when I captured them at length.

Her hands would also push me, though not down or in harm's way.

The dream was a little strange, but when you came out of the mist and waved and smiled at me, I knew you are now at peace and OK! First thank you for the birthday balloon you left on your tree for me today.  I knew you wouldn't forget.   My birthday just isn't the same without you mom.  It's so hard to not hear you sing to me like the past 43 birthdays.   I have one birthday wish but I know I can't have it.   I miss you so much mom and I LOVE YOU!!!!   I'm going to come and see you tomorrow.   I know it's a day after my birthday but you know I like to make it a week long affair!!!!

Well momma today is my birthday  and I  know  you know that I do not like to celebrate it because I think it' jinxed. But you would sing to me anyways and tell me to have fun anyways. I would tell you that I would even though you knew I would not. There is not a day goes by that I do not think of you. I wanted to call you after edges last night and tell you what my kids said but I could not because you are not hear for me to tell so I'm going to tell you here( p.s I did tell dad). They asked me what I was going to do on Tuesday and I told them that It was by birthday and I was turning 53. They did not believe. I should them my license and they asked me where I got my fax id from. They made my night.  Sami loves it at University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She likes all her classes but her acting class because she said she does not want to be an actor just a stage manager so why do I have to take an acting class. Told her to suck it up and do what she has too. Mark and James are doing good. They have been working on the set for the high school play for 
Kim. You know they could never leave it even if we have no one at the school.

So I wrote you Saturday night on here but don't know why it is not here.  I wrote that it has been 11 weeks since you left & it hasn't gotten any easier.  I miss hearing your voice, your silly sense of humor, your face, I MISS YOU!!!  It's also been 14 years since Uncle Ron passed away.  That day still haunts me now.  I miss him so much too, but I am glad you 2 are together.  I know how much you love & missed him.  
Tomorrow is my surgery & I am scared but I know you will be with me in whatever God has in store for me.  Please watch over the rest of our family & Tom.  I don't like them having to worry about me, especially when the pain of losing you is still saw raw.

Hi mama.  It's been 10 weeks that God gained an amazing angel & I lost a huge part of me.  I still can't believe your gone.  I'm getting pretty nervous with my surgery coming up.  I want my mama to be with me.  I know you will be watching over me though & protecting me.  I'm really hoping that while I'm under anesthesia I can see you and talk with you.  Oh, here come the waterworks again.  I really hate not being able to pick up the phone & talk to you.  It's tearing me up inside.  I'm trying, but it's not easy when you had the greatest mama in the world.  I know you are taking care of my little peanut, your grandbaby.  It will be 6 years in a few weeks that I had my miscarriage.  I'm missing peanut so much too, but I take comfort that he or she has you to take care of him or her, until we all can be together again.  (Sucks that I never even got to know if I had a boy or a girl).  I LOVE YOU BOTH.  Until we meet again....
