

Vivian L. Howe, née Conwell of Chicago, IL was born on February 4, 1933 and passed away March 10, 2021. Loving wife of the late John J. Howe (retired C.P.D.). Cherished mother to Karen Howe, John Jr., David (Cara), Thomas (Kathleen), Robert (Michele) and Charles and Barbara (Russell) Crowl. Adored grandmother of Steven Howe, Evan, Jacqueline (Aurie) Pennington, Sean (Kristine), Kayla (Benjamin) Sluis, Dylan, Vincent, Collin Crowl and Allyson; great-grandmother of Isla Howe, Asher, Benjamin Sluis and Logan Pennington; step-grandchildren Zach Radecki and Jill Radecki and step-great-grandchildren Ryleigh Stachura and Dylan Stachura. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Conwell. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents James A. Conwell and Julia C. née Canavan, siblings Donald Conwell, Doris Dowjotas, James Jr., Alice, Anne Barker, Joseph and Mary Ellen Lindemann. Fond aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Loving friend to many.
Vivian was a nature and wildlife lover, avid birdwatcher, loved her dogs & birds! She loved going camping with her grandchildren at Cloud 9 Ranch - Caulfield, MO. She was a lover of music and taught private piano and organ lessons for several years.
Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 am. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
