A country boy from Greenfield, Tennessee who was born to a long line of ice cream lovers. Mr. Tillman was a proud retiree (41 years) from Nabisco Corporation where he enjoyed many warm Lorna Doone and PinWheel cookies. He served in the U.S. Army and was a proud American who was born on the 4th of July.
His family meant the most to him, especially his two granddaughters. However; a few days before his last birthday he received a special present….a great granddaughter that stole his heart. He was an honest man with strong faith. He attended and was a very active member of the Worth Church of Christ for many years. He was a very humble, kind hearted soul.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation. Wayne was a die-hard Cubs fan and lived long enough to witness them finally winning the 2016 World Series. Otherwise, pay it forward with a “Random Act of Kindness” to someone in his honor.
