

Bill is the son of the late Zeno S. and Sophie A. (née Pniaczek) Lisowski; devoted husband of 52 years to his beloved wife, Zelma A. Lisowski (née Stadler); loving father of Richard W. Lisowski; cherished brother of Theresa (John) Poineau and Philip Lisowski. He was also a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a great friend whose kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support enriched the lives of all who knew him.
Bill was especially proud of his service in the National Guard, where he served honorably from 1972 to 1978. His dedication to his country reflected the same commitment, integrity, and quiet strength he demonstrated throughout his life.
A lifelong enthusiast of Lionel trains, Bill found great joy in collecting, operating, and sharing his love of model railroading with family and friends. His passion for the hobby brought him countless hours of happiness and created lasting memories for those who shared in it.
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his generous heart, and the many lasting friendships he built over the years. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens Funeral Home, 11333 Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453.
