I met Bill in 1991. His sister, Irene, introduced us. We went to Al’s Diner in South Holland for our first date. While we were eating, I got a dollop of ketchup on my cheek, he laughingly told me about it, and, of course, I wiped it off. After about 3 years of dating, he proposed.
Before we met Bill would do a lot of traveling with his sister, Irene. They traveled all over. He had a great time going with her. They had fun times.
I knew about his Diabetes from the beginning and I had no problem with it. He had ups and downs, and I was there beside him.
He loved going to Frankenmuth, Michigan. All the stores there, especially Bronner’s. We went to Disney World and Hawaii. We also went to Alaska. All these places will hold fond memories.
The last few years he was not able to do too much. He had many health problems that started to affect him. We had fun staying home, just us and our many cats and dog.
In October 2020, he started getting sick and ended up in the hospital a few times before this last stay when he broke his left shoulder. He was in the hospital for a few days and then went to a Rehab Center to start building up his strength. He was only in the Rehab Center for a few days before God called him home. He is no longer in pain, he is strong again and able to play golf with his father, who predeceased him.
He is survived by me, Lorraine (Lorri), his wife, his mother, Marian and sister and brother-in-law, Irene and LeRoy Janes.
REST IN PEACE, Hon
