William Dean Newton, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Jimette (née Nichols) for 58 wonderful years. William was a devoted father to Christopher (Jodi) and the late Traci, and he cherished his role as grandfather to Lucille.
He was the son of George and Lois (née Taylor) and a caring brother to George (the late Myra) and the late Jacqueline Barton. William will be fondly remembered as an uncle to many, including Melissa (Tom) Anderson-Powers, Kelsey (Jake) Finney, Riley (Katie Johnson), Cole Finney, Andrew (Kristin) Anderson, Alyssa, Alyvia, Linda (John) Matthews, Katie (Matt) Adler, Meghan (Lee) Lewis, John Henry, Leslie (Bob) McGuire, Lanie, Christopher, and Greg (Amy).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, located at 11333 S. Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A chapel service will follow at 12:00 PM, with interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
