

Carol Brazeau (née Jones), aged 82, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Born on May 6, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Carol lived a life marked by independence, compassion, and a deep love for those around her.
Carol pursued her education with determination and earned an associate degree in sciences from the College of DuPage. Her academic achievements reflected her commitment to personal growth and learning. Throughout her life, she was known for her caring nature and her unwavering dedication to putting others ahead of herself. Carol had a unique ability to speak her mind with honesty and conviction while maintaining a warm and nurturing spirit that endeared her to all who knew her.
A devoted family woman, Carol is survived by her daughter Christine; her grandsons David and Gary, her granddaughters Terrisa and Shannon; and her three great-granddaughters Annaliyah, Caroline, and Sienna. She cherished these relationships deeply and found immense joy in watching her family grow across generations. Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul, whose memory she carried with her throughout the years.
Beyond her family, Carol had a profound love for animals. Her compassion extended not only to people but also to the creatures she cared for so deeply. This love was a testament to the kindness that defined her character.
Carol’s legacy is one of strength, selflessness, and authenticity. She will be remembered as someone who lived life on her own terms while always prioritizing the well-being of others. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181, on Thursday, May 28, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 29, also at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home. Interment private.
