My condolences to the Gianforte family.  A sweet soul, creative and loving person.  I will miss her smile and good nature.  Always made me giggle and was like family to all who worked with her.  Rest in peace.

My Deepest Sympathy to the entire Gianforte family. I graduated from ICHS in Elmhurst with Carol. I remember her to be a kind, caring, vibrant, and beautiful person in school. In 2010, I reconnected with her on FB and have enjoyed her many posts and comments. We share a love of the Chicago Cubs and, during this past season, with the World Series Win, we shared many nervous moments, comments, hurrahs, and Cubbie pictures. I know one of her dreams came true when they won the Series! I was truly saddened to hear of her passing this week. May she rest now in the Lord's peace.
A memorial donation to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation has been made in her name.

My mind is flooded with memories as my eyes flood with tears. I think back to a day at work, where you found me in pain-pale and sweating and you knew what medicine I needed. If only I could have returned the favor by knowing what medicine you needed to take your pain away. I, along with countless family, friends, and colleagues will miss you terribly. Rest easy now that the pain has gone.

My wonderful God-Mother. I will always cherish the first book you gave me when I was born. I will always remember your laugh and your warming hugs. One of my favorite memories is visiting you and Uncle John at your house one 4th of July holiday. Meeting little Wrigley for the first time. He was so small and fell asleep on my lap (I think that is when I fell in love with dogs) We all sat outside on the big porch watching fireworks. I know you received so many warm welcomes entering the afterlife! I'm sure right now you are telling my dad in detail about how exciting it was to watch the cubbies win the world series!! I did not personally know Carol but met on Facebook through the Italian American site.  Her last name caught my eye because Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Jo Gianforte were part of my mom's family.  We spent time making the family connection & talked a lot on Facebook.  I wish I had been able to meet her.  I am terribly sorry and offer condolences.

Carol was one of the first people I met when we moved into our home.  She was such a loving, caring, fun person.  We shared many hours together with our children and after they grew up Tommy took my granddaughter to school. She was always there for anything.  God gained an Angel when he called Carol home.She will be greatly missed as she was greatly loved.  Karen Angel

I went to ICHS in Elmhurst with Carol. I remember sharing typing class right next to her, and she's the reason I never really learned to type although I became a sportswriter for the Chicago Tribune. We were alway laughing and fooling around. Still don't know my the nuns didn't separate us. Later in life, I visited her in college in CO and went to Blackhawks games with her. Carol originally was my sister's good friend when they were kids... and has been throughout their lives.  But, Carol loved our family and has always been there for all of us.  For the last several years she has been my Words With Friends pal almost every day.  We had countless games going so she could be busy in the middle of the night when she couldn't sleep.  But, way more important than the "stupid game" (as she liked to call it) were our conversations as we played.  She was bright and witty and we worked hard at making each other laugh on a daily basis.  I, selfishly, am so sad that this friendship has had to end.  But, I rejoice in the fact that Carol no longer is suffering.  RIP, my friend,  I miss you already!!

We were cousins of the heart, and I so loved getting to know Carol through social media. Even though we never met in person, I considered her a part of my life. 

Godspeed, dear cugina. You will be missed.

Carol, I will miss you, how time just passed us by....wish we would have gotten together. I remember meeting you when we were both on the 8th grade dinner dance committee for our kids. Instantly, we clicked, I just loved your sense of humor and all the laughs we shared. Rest peacefully my friend.
