Diana Helen Castre

Diana Helen Castre, age 96, of Westchester; beloved wife of the late Frank Castre; daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Doll) Brotherton; sister of the late Wilbur Brotherton, the late Lois Buske, June Wilde, and the late Dorothy Strand; loving mother of the late Linda D. (Nicholas) Wirth, the late James E. Castre, and Robert J. (Charles Jackson) Castre. Diana was an amazing grandmother to Nicholas J. (Nikki) Wirth, Frank W. (Jessica) Wirth, and Lara D. (Joe) Gutierrez and devoted great-grandmother to Ella Reese, Melaney Grace, Kayla Lynn, Shaeley Kay, Hannah Dorothy, Joseph Robert, and Sophia Antonia. She was a beloved aunt and a dear friend to many who loved her. Diana was born in Lincoln Park. When she married Frank, they settled in Norridge. Diana was the secretary/bookkeeper to their HyCraft Home Builders, Inc. business. The two later built their home in Melrose Park, where they raised their family and made many wonderful memories. Diana spent her last decade of life in Westchester with her son Robert, son in law Charles, and their fur babies Louise, Angelica, and Enzo. Diana passed peacefully at home with her son by her side. Visitation to be held Monday, August 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
