To Ernie: (Butch as we all called him growing up) from your cousin Donna,

Butch, I am so saddened to hear of your passing, but I do find comfort that you are in the arms of your mother, Aunt Ethel and all others that have preceded your death. I am also saddened I cannot be there in person to pay my respect as you know I live in North Idaho and just couldn't make it. I know you know that I am here today in spirit.

How do you say good bye to a cousin that you grew up with which was like another brother to me. We were always together as kids. Our mothers were very close and not only were we always together for every holiday but visited together all the time since there were only a few miles between homes. We shared picnics, barbeques, board games (especially after Thanksgiving dinner, playing Tripoli), trips to the lake and even remember your Dad's company Christmas party where we would always get a Christmas stocking full of candy.I remember the New Year's Eve parties our parents would have and we would always sneak and peak at our parents having such a great time. We knew we would get in trouble if we were caught, but that made all the more fun. The week we all spent at the Dude Ranch was a blast for us too and there are so many memories that just can't be shared today, but will be in my heart forever.

I especially am grateful for the last few calls that we shared this past summer, where we were talking about our future. We had also discussed how happy we were that we were still communicating with each other after all of these years.

Ernie, may you rest in peace. Until we meet again,. Please hug my Mom and Dad, Grandma and Aunt Flora and hug your Mom as well from me.

Thank you for being part of my life. I LOVE YOU!!!

Love, your cousin Donna
