Francia María Escobar, age 88, passed away on May 19, 2025. Loving wife of the late Dr. Pedro José Escobar Sr.; Beloved mother of Pedro José (María Elva) Escobar Jr., Enrique Escobar, José María (Ximena) Escobar, and Juan Carlos (Cielo) Escobar; Cherished grandmother of Pedro X., Santiago, José E., Alejandro (Sarah), Andrés (Nahal), and Christopher; Dear sister of Dr. José María (Judith) Argüello, Gisele (late Dr. Mauricio) Salazar, Rosario (Dr. Humberto) Belli, and Josefina (Dr. Orlando) Icaza; Aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Francia was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Alfonso and Haydée Argüello, and her brother, Dr. Alfonso (Irsa) Argüello. Memorial Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM on Friday, May 30, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be at 10 AM on Saturday, May 31, at Sacred Heart Church, 114 S Elizabeth St, Lombard, IL 60148. Interment private.
