Frank spent his childhood in Melrose Park, before joining the Army in 1951. He married his wife, Carmella, in 1952, and she moved with him to Fairbanks, Alaska, where Frank was stationed for service. He completed his time of service with the rank of Sergeant in 1953, and the couple returned home to Melrose Park.
He worked as a mechanic at the American Can Company for over 30 years. When he retired from ACC, he went on to work for W. W. Grainger for another ten years until his ultimate retirement at the age of 62.
Frank enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, and rooting for his favorite sports teams; the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, Frank loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carmella "Millie;" his children, Terry (Gene) Surico, Frank Guido, and James Guido; his grandchildren, Haley, Matthew, Anthony, and Gianna Guido; and his brother, Lou. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joe; and his sister-in-law, Mary.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10am at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace. Interment will be held at Queen of Heaven Chapel, 1400 S Wolf Road, Hillside, immediately following service.
