James E. Thomsen, Jr., age 94 went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2024. James was a member of the National Guard for 45 years earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He worked full time for the National Guard in their maintenance shop in Maywood IL for 43 years. In 1977 he married, Dolores R. Aldinger. She along with her six children became his instant family.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores and children Mark Aldinger, Lynn (the late Randall) Narret, Gail Clark, Kurt (Mercy) Aldinger, Beth (Kenneth) Zik, Scot (Lisa) Aldinger, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for James will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a prayer service to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home and Cemetery, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 10:30 AM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home & Cemetery, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
