The thousands of memories I have with Joanna, over our almost-60 year friendship, would fill a book. From all of the church circle and Jaycette meetings we attended together and the family picnics and holiday dinners we shares; the family camping trips and semi-annual trips to the Wagon Wheel Lodge in Rockton. And later, when our children were on their own, the national and international trips we shared. Joanna fell in love with Venice as I had done years before. And having her picture taken at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris was so very special for her. ..even though she was hanging on to the girding for dear life. Also special was the 3-friends, week-long visit to Orlando in our later years...Joanna, Judy and Bonnie -reunited after many years of living in different states. We three and our spouses and children were like family when none of us had family anywhere nearby. Joanna's place in my heart will remain until I am no more.

Prayers and condolences to all of the family. Had not seen Joanna for some time, but still have memories of family gatherings and also Karen kept us up-to-date on her and her girls. Rest in Peace Joanna. Loved going through all the pictures! Brought back many memories!

I know Joanna through my days at F/A. She was a warm and kind person, and very comforting, and I know I am just one of the many that feel that way about her. Very sweet. I was sadden to hear the news that she had past.
I wish her and her family my prayers and the strength to get through this very tough time and I know God will welcome her with open arms and a big smile!

Intellectually very gifted, Joanna's ideas made me think. She was very involved in politics caring about her community and the environment.

On a personal note, Joanna was always very kind to my son, John, inquiring about him and supporting him.

My deepest sympathies go to Lisa, Tracy, and her granddaughters whom she loved dearly and always talked about.

With Warmest Regards,
Penny Mundt

Joanna was there for me when I was in panic mode, and she said all the right things to calm me down. I will be forever grateful for her friendship and kind support. Rest In Peace, my friend.
