September 4, 1924 – July 23, 2018
Jose Donato passed away on July 23, 2018 at the Amita Health Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. His memorial service will be held at the Hinsdale Fil-Am SDA church on Saturday from 2 PM to 4 PM and the remainder of the funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM at the Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home and Cemetery. Mr. Jose Donato was born on September 4, 2018 to Felipe Guadalupe Donato and Maria Florino Donato. He graduated as a marine engineer in the Philippines and then he moved to Guam to work. He then moved to Fresno, California where he became a master mechanic. He met his wife, Zenaida Donato, in Texas and they fell in love. They were married at the North Shore Seventh-Day Adventist Church in 1969 where he remained heavily involved, specifically in community outreach. He was a member of North Shore Church, Avon Park Church, and the Central Fil-Am Church. Jose was known for his quiet temperament while always maintaining a great sense of humor and love for helping others, never hesitating to go out of his way to help anyone he encountered Another identifier of Jose was his dedication to punctuality, to prove it he even won an award for never missing nor arriving late to work. In addition to being dedicated to his work, he was above all dedicated to his family and will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathies to the Donato Family during this tragic time, cherish the wonderful times you’ve shared with Jose. Its never easy losing a loved one, but one place we can always find comfort is God’s word through the Bible. John 5:28,29 helps us build strength and hope of moving forward and seeing our lost loved ones again here on earth. Truly a wonderful day that will be for us.
