Libia H. Kummer, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2015. Longtime resident of Grayslake, IL. Libia volunteered her time at local schools and libraries with children and had a passion for telling stories. Her journey began with a courageous move to America on her own, where she built her life and family. Libia was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Pierre and Jack. Beloved mother of Fred (Patti) and Debbie (Gary); Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Eric, Kyle (Catherine), and Brent; Adored great-grandmother of Landen and Stiles. She was a special friend to the residents of Saddlebrook Farms. Funeral will begin on Friday, Feb 20, at 9:15 AM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1025 E Madison St, Lombard, IL 60148. Visitation will be on Thursday Feb 19, from 4-9 PM also at the Funeral Home. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
