Mario Garcia

Mario Garcia, 76, of Bensenville, IL was called to the Lord on May 13, 2025. He was born in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico, on January 19, 1949, the son of Placida Garcia. He was the youngest of two children.

After graduating high school, Mario worked in the grocery store then drafted into the Army 101st Airborne Division and retired and started running a grocery store and started his new work adventure in the transportation where he worked till the end.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Placida Ferrieda and his brother Manuel Rodriguez. He is survived by, his wife of 24 yrs, Monica; Nine children; Curt (Claudia), Mario II (Julie), Jason, Mary (Ryan), Christina, Joseph, Aayan, Kaaydn and Guadalupe: ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Faith, Avery, Coraline, Mikaylah, Jazmin, Rylee, Lorenzo III, Arelo and Aylani and one great grandchild, Sophia.

The family would like to thank the Residential Hospice team for their assistance in caring for Mario.

A visitation for Mario will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. A committal service with military honors will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421.
