Michael R. Hronek

Michael R. Hronek, age 48, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Mike was born in Normal, Illinois, and was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois. He built a successful 25-year career at CDW, where he was respected and admired by colleagues and friends.

A true Cubs fan and music lover, Mike also enjoyed the finer things in life, especially his bourbon. His passions were only matched by the love he had for his family. Mike was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 17 years, Wendy Hronek, with whom he shared 20 wonderful years. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, Addison and Avery, whom he cherished with all his heart.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Hronek, and is survived by his loving mother, Marianne, and loving brothers, Steve and Dave Hronek. Mike was a fun and caring uncle to Tatum, Peter John V, Haley, Payton, Waylon, Willow, Rowen, Wrenn, Alina, and Warren. Mike was a dedicated father, a loving husband, a loyal friend, and above all, a man whose greatest joy was his family. His wife and daughters were the center of his world, and his greatest adventure. Mike’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
