Myron Edwards passed away at his home on Saturday, September 30th, at age 87. He was born to Charley F. Edwards and Virginia McGehee in Sharon, Tennessee. Myron played football during his school years, after graduation he moved to Chicago to seek work which he did at Continental Can Corporation. He was in management working his way to Branch Manager at which time he resigned and established his own company, SERVEND.
In 1956, Myron married his high school girlfriend, Betty Moore. They made their home in Chicago for 3 years, then moved to Rosemont, Illinois. Two children were born, a daughter, Karen Renita in 1959, and a son, Shane Kendall in 1964. Myron participated in their school activities and was Little League Coach for many years.
Myron is survived by his daughter, Karen Wyrick; his son, Shane Edwards and his grandson, Alex Edwards; two brothers Doug and Joel; two sisters, Alice and Patricia. He had several nieces and nephews.
Myron created a marble game, even making the board himself for others who he taught to play. He enjoyed getting together with others and playing marbles. There are many stories about his marble games (him being very competitive). His legacy lives on in all of you, his loved ones.
